Platform 6 was founded in 2017 by Matt Stevenson after having spent a highly rewarding 20 years at top level in some of the most successful IT recruitment companies in the UK , it soon became clear that it was time to take a different recruitment approach which was more values based, niche and client focused which also afforded a much better worklife balance with a young family. With Matts background primarily in IT recruitment he chose to focus Platform 6 on the Salesforce market only, purely to US clients, from the UK.
Fast forward to 2019 and Platform 6 is entering its 3rd year. As a business we have had such exciting success, with most of our business coming from existing clients or referrals. We have more than doubled our revenues against business plan in the first 2 years and most importantly we have been able to do all this whilst not compromising on operating with our values at the forefront if everything we do.
It is now the right time for us to expand and bring another individual into the Platform 6 team with this role presenting an exciting opportunity to join a growing business operating in one of the hottest tech markets globally.
Primarily focused on US clients and candidates, yet based from the UK, we are eager for the individual to truly make this role their own and grow accounts and develop new client relationships in and outside of the US as well as initially focusing on leveraging the key relationships already in place.
In the same way our approach to recruitment is not your typical recruitment agency culture, nor is our approach to working at Platform 6.
Here we firmly believe that to give the highest quality candidate and client experience, motivated, driven and passionate consultants are the key. Our strong desire is to develop our culture which focuses on achievements rather than call times or time spent at a desk. We want to embrace a truly flexible culture and at Platform 6 there is unlimited annual leave, no fixed hours, albeit there will be requirements to be able to talk to clients and candidates which works for the US timezone, and no hard sales targets. The key to success for this role is having the accountability, desire and drive to be a part of and integral to the success of the growth of Platform 6.
In return we are looking for an exceptional candidate, you may have previously worked in recruitment or a sales environment or may simply possess those key attributes. We are open minded to full or part time and salary is negotiable dependent on current and experience and in addition there will be a commission scheme. Depending on the individual there may also be an opportunity in the future for equity in the business, so this really is the perfect time to join and become part of the story.
The role will be based from home, and we will provide all the tech needed to set you up, however you will need to be available to meet up in Peterborough where P6 is based, at least 4 times a month and during the initial induction period this would be more frequent, therefore being based within an hour is likely to be more suitable.
